Leonard Springs Nature Park packs in a cave, springs, a wetland and a hilly woodland all within a short hike. This park is a favorite spot for Bloomington locals looking for a little nature break close to the city. We've loved visiting the park in all seasons, enjoying beautiful spring wildflowers, mushrooms, and encounters with wildlife like snakes, songbirds, and turtles.
Leonard Springs Nature Preserve was dedicated in 1999 and consists of 95.5 acres. The park is maintained by the Bloomington Indiana Parks and Recreation Department.
